JIS A 1158（試験に用いる骨材の縮分方法）制定の概要

Aggregate to be subjected to testing must be representative of the lot to be tested, and if the reduction of the sample of aggregate is done improperly, accurate assessment of the quality of that lot of aggregate is not possible. In other words, the obtainment of accurate test results requires the standardization of not only the test conditions, but also the aggregate sample reduction method. This paper outlines the contents of the JIS A 1158 (Method for reducing samples of aggregate to testing size) standard, which covers the aggregate sample reduction method.試験に供する骨材は，試験しようとするロットを代表するものでなければならず，骨材の縮分が不適切な場合は，そのロットの骨材の品質を正確に評価することができない。すなわち，正確な試験結果を得るためには，試験条件の標準化だけでなく，骨材の縮分方法についても標準化する必要がある。本稿では，JIS A 1158（試験に用いる骨材の縮分方法）を制定したので，その内容について概説する。
