Process for the preparation of carboxylic acid chlorides
1988
abstract New process for the preparation of carboxylic acid chlorides The invention relates to a novel process for preparing carbonyl chlorides by reacting the tetra-chloroethylene carbonate with a carboxylic acid of formula R (COOH) n at a temperature between 80 ° and 160 ° C. The R radical can be very varied and n is an integer pou-efore take the values 1 to 4. A solvent is not necessary. A catalyst can be used. acid chlorides are obtained with high purity.
