Copper-catalyzed N-arylation of oxindoles

Abstract The coupling of aryl bromides or iodides with oxindoles using a copper iodide- N , N ′-dimethylethylene diamine system is presented. The reaction proceeds efficiently and tolerates a variety of substitution patterns.
