mm-wave resonant and nonresonant structures with high-T/sub c/ superconductors

2001
Data on studying electrodynamic structures which, in the author's opinion, are the most suitable for impedance properties measurement of HTS materials in mm wavelength range, are presented. Two versions of quasi-optical dielectric resonators (QDR) with HTS samples, perturbed resonator and two-conducting end-plates resonator, are considered. The examples of their usage are given and other versions are proposed. Their application aspects are discussed. The results of reflectivity study of HTS thin-film-dielectric substrate structures at grazing incident angles show a new approach to investigation of these materials Experimental data are obtained using sapphire QDR and rectangular waveguide E-structures with YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7-x/ thin films and melt textured samples in 8 mm waveband at T=77-300 K.
