INFRARED SPECTRUM OF METHYL ISOCYANIDE-D3

Summary * The infrared spectrum of methyl iso cyanide-d 3 has been examined from 1.6 to 25 μ with a prism spectrometer and an assignment of all observed bands (fundamentals and overtones) has been made. Approximate zeta values for the CH3 deformation and rocking bands have been measured and some anharmonic data have been obtained. These results and their correlation with the spectra of CH 3 NC and CH 3 CN will be discussed.
