New Eremophilenolide from Artemisia sogdiana
2021
A new eremophilenolide that was called sogdianine was isolated from the CHCl3 fraction of the EtOH extract of the aerial part of Artemisia sogdiana Bunge growing in Uzbekistan. Its structure was elucidated using spectral data (IR, ESI-MS, 1H, 13C, DEPT, and 2D COSY, HMQC, and HMBC). Sogdianine showed moderate antitumor activity in vitro against HeLa cervical cancer and HEp-2 laryngeal adenocarcinoma cells.
