La presencia de la mujer en la organización colegial estatal de la educación física y del deporte en España

2018
This work aims to investigate gender equality within the collegiate organization of Physical Education and Sports of Spain throughout history. Starting from a documentary review, a quantitative analysis has been carried out of the number of women in the Government Boards, the Permanent Commission and the Plenary of the state collegiate organization since 1948, as well as the number of current women in the Boards of Government of the Autonomous College. There has also been a qualitative analysis of interviews conducted with all the members of the current Government Boards, about their collegial functions and their vision of gender equality. The results show that the participation of women in this collegiate organization has occurred since its inception. Women who in the first stage entered into this almost male collective can be considered pioneers and openings. It is unknown whether the relative evolution of women’s participation in the Plenary Session of the COLEF Council has been a consequence of the increase in women colleges since the 1980s to the present. The functions they perform in corporations are not related to the exercise of power. The data obtained show the evolution of the corporation and internal inequality at the regional level. Currently it can be said that the COLEF Council has a plenary session where female representation is very close to the percentage of women’s membership, and that within the Permanent Commission there is parity, as in some of the regional boards, professional team and expert committees.
