더덕 사포닌의 최적 추출방법 및 사포닌 함량 증대 방안

2021
The roots of Codonopsis lanceolata are used for medicinal or edible purposes and has recently attracted interest as a raw material in functonal foods that pharmacological efficacy of its extracts has been proven. Therefore, this study was conducted to establish the extraction method for saponin lancemasides in C. lanceolata and increase the saponin content by UV (A, B and C) and fermentation (5 kinds of lactobacillus and yeast) treatments. The result showed that hot water extraction using autoclave was superior to the coventional ultrasonic extraction method. The result of UV and fermentation treatment to increase the saponin content in C. lanceolata root was that UV-C and Bacillus subtilis treatment were most effective to be increased saponin content by about 20% and 22% compared to non-treatment. In addition, UV-C treatment was more effective in growing C. lanceolata leaves than in harvested C. lanceolata roots. As a result, the saponin content in C. lanceolata can be increased by 87% through fermenting with B. subtilis at harvested root after UV-C irradiation on growing C. lanceolata leaves. It is assumed that UV-C treatment is related to the production of a kind of saponin by reacting initial-stress and fermentation treatment is related to increase saponin content by transiting within a kind of saponins.
