Synthesis and crystal structure of three new quaternary compounds in the system (Cu-III-Se2) 1 - x ZnSex (III=Al, Ga, In), formed by Zn incorporation in Cu-III-Se2 chalcopyrites

The crystal structure of the chalcogenide alloys CuZnAlSe_(3), CuZnGaSe_(3) and CuZnInSe_(3), new members of the system I-II-III-VI_(3), were characterized using X-ray powder diffraction data. All materials crystallize in the tetragonal space group P_(4) 2c (No 112) with a CuFeInSe_(3)-type structure.
