Geostatistical analysis of temporal variation in water content of sand dune soils.
1990
The semivariograms determined from the data were bounded with nugget variance indicating that the moisture content was temporally dependent for a period of 2.5 (0-30 cm depth) and 3 months (30-180 cm depth). The soil water content was estimated by kriging for short time intervals using the semivariograms and the data. The charts showing the moisture distribution with time were prepared from the kriged and observed values. The validity of the semivariogram models used for kriging was tested by using the «Jack knifing» technique
