Computer simulation technique for prediction of service life in concrete structures

1999
Computer simulation refers to (1) theoretical emulation of climatic stresses (2) determination of the temperature and moisture content in the cross-section of a concrete structure, and (3) application of temperature and moisture sensitive degradation models so that the degradation and service life of the structure can be predicted. The increment of time in the step-by-step calculation process is I hour. The service life of a structure is considered to be the time period before the critical degradation limits are exceeded.
