Early, Middle, and Late Pleistocene till units are exposed in Wisconsin, some of which are intensely weathered and possess reversed remanent magnetization. Late Pleistocene ice-wedge casts, drumlins, tunnel channels, high-relief hummocky moraines, and ice-walled-lake plains provide evidence for permafrost and changing palaeoglaciological conditions during deglaciation.
