Chapter 42 – The Quaternary of Wisconsin: An Updated Review of Stratigraphy, Glacial History and Landforms

Early, Middle, and Late Pleistocene till units are exposed in Wisconsin, some of which are intensely weathered and possess reversed remanent magnetization. Late Pleistocene ice-wedge casts, drumlins, tunnel channels, high-relief hummocky moraines, and ice-walled-lake plains provide evidence for permafrost and changing palaeoglaciological conditions during deglaciation.
