The method comprises that when a continuous pressing event is detected in a voice reply control in an interaction information page, a voice collection module is started; within time when the continuous pressing event occurs, the voice collection module collects voice data, and in the process that the voice collection module collects the voice data, a video live broadcast page is in a mute state; and the voice data is sent to an interaction platform, so that the interaction platform pushes the voice data to related users including users who watch video live broadcast and carries out video live broadcast. The method and client of the invention can be used to solve the technical problems that live broadcast application with character form interaction at present is not in real time, is indirect and lacks friendliness, and improve user experience of the live broadcast application.
