Dependence of the morphology and photoelectronic properties of some polyterthiophenes on the electropolymerisation conditions

The dependence of the morphology of polymers, prepared by cyclic voltammetry of 4,4-dipenthoxy-3'-alkyl-2,2':5',2-terthiophenes, on the length of the alkyl substituent and the polymerisation parameters was investigated. The morphology and some photophysical properties of the polymers have been related to the characteristics of photoreceptor devices constructed with these materials.
