Effects of Change to Coal-based Crude Oil

Liquid transport fuels are presently consumed in Australia at the rate of approx. 20(10{6}) tpa, amounting to about 2/3 of total petroleum products used. Published data on coal conversion have been examined to estimate the probable impact of producing such tonnage of liquid transport fuel from coal.
