Symmetry principles in the syntax of a language of knowledge translation

2010
This paper investigates the morphosyntactic symmetry between the elements in word combinations and word forms. Based on linguistic superoperators, the authors introduce the concepts of syntactic time and syntactic space. They develop a classification of the parts of speech and members of a sentence for the SL language, determine morphosyntactic cases, and propose a new semantic classification of predicates. The authors determine morphosyntactic and semantic-syntactic functions, introduce syntactic superoperators and use the latter to develop the rules to generate syntactic structures. They also propose rules of interpretation to match the syntactic structures with their semantic meanings.
