Numerical simulation on internal flow field of flue gas desulfurization absorber

Discrete phase model in Fluent software was applied to conduct three-dimensional numerical simulation on flow field of gas-liquid two-phase flow in the absorber.The k-e model and Simple algorithm were adopted in the calculation.The results showed that,the optimized model can improve the flow field inside the absorber,make the gas contact with liquid more fully.Changing the inlet pipeline had great effect on the gas-liquid mixing degree and internal pressure.After adding the spray layer,the gas velocity at top of the absorber became uniformity and the flue gas resistance decreased.
