Optical Spectrum Derivative Registration by Acoustoptic Spectroscopy Method

The necessity of a more accurate determination of spectral components position in complex overlapping spectra is substantiated in the paper. The possibility of using acousto-optic diffraction formed by sharp periodic control voltage phase switching for registration not only the optical radiation spectrum, but also its derivative, is considered. The proposed method allows the derivative registration in real time. Which dramatically reduces the spectral information processing time in comparison with the alternative methods based on the spectrum extended portion measurement, smoothing and following derivatives calculation.
