2014
In daily educational work with at-risk youth, it is often observed a history of educational failure that has strong repercussions when starting the transition to adulthood. School reproduces situations of exclusion and helps with their academic stiffness, for the disengagement of adolescents in the earlier phase of emancipation, when they have pretensions and practical needs. The negative experiences related to education are in addition to the social and economic forces that compel find resources that will help achieve personal autonomy, necessary to live an independent life. School failure limits the possibility of prior training to entering the labor market, preventing the process of emancipation, along with other factors, including the possibility of entering the world of work. In 2012, we carried out research work in Ourense with young people enrolled in the child protection system files and / or reform of minors. The aim is to know the perspective of these young people from a socio-educational intervention logic which is held both specific features, such as from the school environment. This article analyzes the reflections that participants contribute the relationship between his career and his academic career, held a discussion groups and various semi-open interviews. Moreover, we contrast this view with two case studies.
