Effect of Granular Fertilizer on Grain Weight Gain During Late Growth Stage in Hybrid Rice

The pot and field research methods were used to study the effect of application of nitrogen fertilizer on grain filling process,1000-grain weight and grain plumpness during late growth stage of hybrid rice.The results showed that adding granular fertilizer prolonged grain filling time for 5~7d,which was beneficial to prolong the time of photosynthesis;nitrogen application during late growth stage increased the rice grain weight 2~2.3g,the rate of increase was 7% or so;in-depth study showed that the increase of 1000-grain weight was mainly reflected in the increase of grain weight,the increase of grain weight was the increase of rice volume and a higher level of grain plumpness,while had little to do with the hull size and weight.
