Parametric Study into the Analysis and Design of Post Tensioned Flat Slab
2014
The post-tensioning method is now a days used widely, due to its application.resulting in economic and the safe designThere are many methods available to analyze a flat slab. The methods are based on experimental analysis. Now a day’s many commercial software’s are also available to analyze a flat slabThe R.C.C. flat slabs are easy to analyze by using any commercial software, but, in case of post-tensioned flat slab, additional efforts are required to understand the structural response of the flat slab and to design the same. The objective of the present work is to prepare design aids for post-tensioned flat slabs using manual method which will give moments in slab, shear in slab, number of tendons, un-tensioned reinforcement, shear reinforcement, tendon profile and deflections check While using this method more precautions has to be made for shear and deflection criteria for the slabs. The design of post-tensioned flat slab can be done by using load balancing and equivalent frame method This work includes the design for Flat Slabs of various spans, ranging from 6.0 M to 12.0 M,In present work the design aids are prepared for Flat slab Without Drop, Without edge Beam, Flat slab Without Drop, With edge Beam, Flat slab With Drop, Without edge Beam ,Flat slab With Drop, With edge Beam The parameters used for the analysis of flat slab are 5×5 grid panel, 4×4 grid panel, 3×3 grid panel and 2×2 grid panel
