Effect of Photo-Detector Parameters on the Characteristics of Phase-Doppler Sizing Anemometry

2001
The light scattering characteristics of particles in phase Doppler sizing anemometry is calculated with a theoretical model based on geometrical optics approach. The interferring fringe patterns formed by scattered light are depicted. The effects of several factors, such as the geometrical parameters of photo detectors and the high frequency oscillation and phase jumping in the diameter phase curves are also discussed.
