An image photographing method of a device having a camera comprises the steps of recognizing a face region by focusing a subject in an automatic photographing mode; automatically and continuously photographing the subject when the recognized face region looks the camera straight; generating and displaying thumbnails of images of the continuously photographed subject; setting a best photo for displaying identifiers on the thumbnails of the images satisfying a set condition; and storing the images satisfying the set condition upon storage request.
