A enfermagem na promoção do autocuidado de higiene corporal em escolares da amazônia: relato de experiência

Objective: To report the actions of health education developed as an incentive for the practice of body hygiene habits that are consistent with health maintenance and that improve the quality of life for elementary school students in a Brazilian Amazonian municipality. Methods: A descriptive study of the type of experience that consisted in the use of the problem-solving methodology and the development of the actions were incorporated into the principles of the Marguerez Arch, which is an example of an active methodology. Results: The results indicate that the activities carried out with the students were able to demonstrate the importance of acquiring healthy habits related to body hygiene, where it was verified that the learning stimuli need to be incorporated early in childhood, in order to cause important behavior changes for the adoption of appropriate self-care practices. Conclusion: It is concluded that for health education to become effective it is necessary to use strategies that involve the participation of the school community and the incentive to self-care, in order to promote health promotion.
