Peptidyl derivative as inhibitor of interleukin-1beta-converting enzyme

PURPOSE: To provide a novel compd. which has the activity to inhibit interleukin-1β-converting enzyme and is useful for the inflammation treatment, etc., of the lung, central nervous system, kidney, etc. CONSTITUTION: The compd. of the formula I [Y is formula II (R 2 is (-CN); R 1 is a (substd.) alkyl, aryl, etc.; AA 1 to AA 3 are a single bond, selected from various kinds of amino acids). For example, N-(N-acetyltyrosinyl-valinyl- lysinyl)-3-amino-3-cyanopropionic acid. The compd. of the formula I is obtd. by hydrolyzing a compd. of formula IV obtd. by using, for example, a compd. of formula III as a starting material. COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
