Évaluation des Stages Hospitaliers par les Étudiants de 4ème Année de Médecine Générale de l’Université de Yaoundé I

RESUMEIntroduction. Le stage hospitalier est un element essentiel de la formation des etudiants. L’objectif de cette etude etait d’evaluer la satisfaction des etudiants en medecine de niveau 4 au terme de leur stage hospitalier. Methodes. Il s’agissait d’une etude descriptive et prospective, realisee aupres des etudiants en medecine de niveau 4 au terme de leur stage hospitalier. Etait inclus, tout etudiant ayant realise un stage hospitalier et ayant consenti a l’etude. Un questionnaire a ete administre en ligne. Le questionnaire a ete converti en document numerique a l’aide de Google Form. La satisfaction etait evaluee sur la base de trois questions. Resultats. La taille de l’echantillon etait de 41 etudiants ayant acheve leurs stages en pediatrie (26.8%), chirurgie (24.4%), medecine interne (24.4%) et gynecologie obstetrique (24.4%). La tenue des dossiers etait correcte dans 48,8% des cas. L’heure d’arrivee au lieu de stage etait entre 7h-7h30 dans 92,7% des cas. L’enseignement au lit du malade etait frequemment realise dans 48,8% des cas. Les objectifs de stage etaient connus dans 87,8% des cas. L’accueil dans le lieu de stage etait juge bon dans 85% des cas. L’encadrement etait juge bon dans 70,7% des cas. Le stage etait juge formateur dans 78% des cas. Le taux de satisfaction etait eleve. Conclusion. La satisfaction des etudiants est bonne. L’etudiant doit faire partie integrante de l'evaluation de cette activite pour ameliorer la qualite des stages hospitaliers.ABSTRACTIntroduction. The hospital clerkship remains an essential element in the training of medical students. The aim of this study is to assess the satisfaction of 4th year medical students at the end of their hospital clerkship. Material and methods. We carried out a descriptive and prospective study. The 4th year medical students who consented to the study were included. A questionnaire was administered online. The questionnaire was converted into a digital document using Google Form (Google, USA). Satisfaction was assessed using three questions. Word processing and tables were produced using Microsoft Word and Excel version 2016. Results We included 41 students, who completed the hospital clerkship of pediatrics (26.8%), surgery (24.4%), internal medicine (24.4%) and obstetrics - gynecology (24.4%). The record keeping was carried out in 48.8% of cases. The arrival time at the clerkship location was between 7 AM-7:30 AM in 92.7% of cases. Bedside teaching was frequently performed in 48.8% of cases. The clerkship objectives were known in 87.8% of cases. The reception was good 85% of the time. The supervision was considered good in 70.7% of the cases. The formative value was considered good in 78% of cases. The internship could be recommended to a friend in 68.3% of cases. Conclusion. There is good satisfaction of hospital clerkship. Student should be part of the evaluation of this activity to improve the quality.
