Analysis to Radiological Features of Synovial Sarcoma

2011
Objective To study the imaging characteristics of synovial sarcoma, and improve the level of diagnosis to it.Methods The clinical materials and image finding of synovial sarcoma were retrospectively analyzed in 10 cases proved by pathology. Results ①Most synovial sarcomas were close to joints, especially large joints of lower limbs;②X-ray appeared the soft tissue swelling or the obvious tumour mass,in which punctuate calcification sometimes was found;the mass density was not homogeneous and lower than that of the muscle on CT,CT could detect calcification and vicinal bone involvement;on T2WI of MRI,the tumors presented triple sign with hypointense septa among them, and heterogeneous enhancement after the injection of Gd-DTPA.Conclusion Synovial sarcoma has some specific imaging features, particularly on MRI,are helpful for the diagnosis of it.
