Stability analysis of NCS under PID control

In this paper, we analyze the stability of NCS(networked control system) with discrete event-driven PID controller under the condition of jitter and data-loss on the basis of promoting method by making analogy with the situation that every link of control circuit is time-driven, and derive the corresponding stability criterion. Then a simple practical control system is set as an example and some simulation tools from MATLAB such as SimEvents and xPc-target are used to build models as well as do some real-time simulations for it. The accuracy of the stability criterion verified by analyzing the eventual simulation results ensures the feasibility of practical application for NCS with PID controller.
