A FORMULATION FOR HYDRAULIC FRACTURE PROPAGATION IN A POROELASTIC MEDIUM

This paper draws on the simulation of hydraulic fracturing processes combining a model for fluid flow in the fracture with Blot's' model of coupled poroelasticity for the rock behavior. The theoretical background for the computational implementation is discussed.
