Localized Ferromagnetic Polarons in Antiferromagnetic Gd3−xvxS4

This paper is a continuation of the study of the magnetic and electronic properties of Gd3−xvxS4 where v is a vacancy and 0polaron in an antiferromagnetic host is used to give a microscopic basis for understanding both magnetization and transport data. The size of the polaron, the polaron binding energy, and a lower bound on the conduction electron‐Gd ion exchange are determined.
