Standardization Study on Confined Fission-Track Length Measurement——Study on Etching Standard of Zircon

Horizontal confined fission-track (HCT) length of quick-cooling volcanic zircon in Hainan Province was determined as 10.93 μm with deviation 0.93 μm, which can be used as reference framework for length measurement.By step-by-step etching, study was focused on etching standard to avoid over-etching factor for length measurement. Suitable etching standard is suggested with D_(par) (1.0±0.5) μm and same grain numbers for D_(par)1 μm and D_(par)1 μm and measuring standard is D_(HCT)1.0 μm.
