THE LUMINESCENT EMISSION OF CADMIUM SULFIDE BOMBARDED BY CATHODE RAYS

1961
When cadmium suIfide is bombarded by electrons, in addition to the well- known red radiation, an emission of green light of still badly defined origin was observed. The green flux thus emittted depends on the purity of the substance, on the density, and on the acceleration voltage of the bombardment point. The position, in the spectrum, of this green emission varies with the density of the current. (tr-auth)
