Vitamin D may play a role in mammary gland development and carcinogenesis ([1][1]). Results from our team and others ([2][2]-[4][3]) suggest that high vitamin D intakes/levels may reduce breast cancer risk and mammographic breast density (MBD), a strong and highly heritable breast cancer risk factor
