Allograft Replacement in Aggressive and Malignant Bone Tumors: A Long-Term Study

After tumor resection replacement of bone defects by allografting is one of several ways to salvage limbs. In selected anatomical locations the allografts unite with the host bone and function acceptably well. Progress in graft preservation and reconstruction techniques and in postoperative functional treatment have improved the results.
