Specific heat of the spin-3/2 Blume-Capel model.

The specific heat of the spin-3/2 Blume-Capel model is investigated by the use of two formulations based on the Ising spin identities and a differential-operator technique. In particular, the specific heat on a honeycomb lattice is examined in detail for the system with a crystal-field constant in the critical region where the ground-state configuration may change from the spin-1/2 state to the spin-3/2 state. We find many interesting phenomena in the system
