The sodium ion battery electrode sheet comprises a sodium sheet, a current collector, and a diaphragm attached onto the current collector, the current collector and the diaphragm forming an initial electrode sheet, and the sodium sheet being arranged on the initial electrode sheet. An electrode sheet can improve the first coulombic efficiency of the battery, reducing, during the first charging or discharging, the loss of sodium ions in a cathode material. Meanwhile, the sodium ions are easier to be deintercalated from an anode material during charging or discharging, improving the capacity retention rate of the battery. The preparation method is relatively easy, has a short production cycle, is efficient and can realize the supplement of quantitative sodium.
