In-Situ Electroporation on a Micropore-Arrayed Filter for Cell Labelling

2020
This work reported an in-situ electroporation on an ultra-thin and high-porosity micropore-arrayed filter to introduce a fluorescent dye label into targeted cells. The in-situ electroporation avoids laborious cell release and transfer, guarantees electric field uniformity and thus high efficiency. The ultra-thin and high-porosity properties are the key to achieve a high viability via decreasing forces applied on cells during filtration. The whole procedure including cell separation and electroporation can be finished in a short duration (<15 min). This system demonstrated the applicability in all-in-one separation, labelling and retransfusion of targeted cells to monitor their track for tumor metastasis study.
