ANALYZING THE CLIMATE COMFORT OF TOURISM AND REGIONALIZATION IN JIANGSU PROVINCE

Taking Jiangsu Province as an example,the author analyzed the climatic characteristics and distribution feature of tourism.The factors of temperature,wind speed and relative humidity were selected to calculate the climate comfort index,and the climate data in Jiangsu Province from 1978 to 1998 were analyzed.Using cluster analysis and GIS,the tourism climate resource in the province was divided into three districts:Early spring and summer tourism district(Ⅰdistrict),summer tourism district(Ⅱ district)and spring autumn district(Ⅲ district).It showed that Suzhong and Subei was suitable for tourism in early spring and early summer,coastal cities was suitable for the whole summer,and the district along the river was suitable for spring and autumn with its rich natural and human tourism resources.This paper summarized the best tour time and development suggestions for each tourism district.It has practical significance for the tourists to arrange their travel and for government decision.
