Transportation Security Roles and Responsibilities

2010
In the event of a man-made incident or natural disaster it is apparent the interconnectivity and the ripple economic impacts of a transportation system require coordinated solutions and jurisdictional coordination beyond the current silo level in protecting our nation's critical infrastructure and key resources (CIKR). This paper will provide guidance on the roles and responsibilities of ensuring the nation's transportation security, not only at the public sector level but also at the private sector and the general population levels. Keywords: transportation security; roles; responsibilities; response; recovery; infrastructure protection
