Multipurpose GPR processing

1993
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) data are very similar to data measured by seismic methods. This offers the possibility to apply standard seismic processing procedures for adjusting radar results in order to obtain more and better information than are provided by raw data. Most GPR users apply some kind of processing: mainly the software offered for the specific kind of radar equipment by the manufacturer. These are usually suitable only for preliminary on site preprocessing and presentation though sometimes it is suitable for interpretation. Generally more sophisticated data processing is needed to make visible (and interpretable) all the information contained by GPR data.
