The invention relates to a method (500) for determining information relating to an inductive charging system for inductively charging an electrical energy store of a vehicle (100), wherein the inductive coupling system comprises a primary coil (111) and a secondary coil (121) that magnetically interact with one another are coupled. The method (500) comprises determining (501) actual parameter values from a plurality of parameters (331) of a model (330) of the inductive coupling system. In addition, the method (500) includes determining (502) information related to the inductive coupling system based on the actual parameter values and based on mathematical functions for desired parameter values of the parameters (331). The mathematical function for a parameter (331) indicates the desired parameter values of the parameter (331) as a function of a relative position between the primary coil (111) and the secondary coil (121) of the inductive coupling system.
