Feasibility study on drilling mud treatment with the confining reed wetland system

The feasibilily of driling mud treatment with read wetland and the impact of drilling mud on soil and read were studied. The results showed that the amount of drilling mud were 5?kg/m 2, 20?kg/m 2, 40?kg/m 2 and the mineral oil purificative ratios were 75%—85%, 78%—90% and 65%—90%, respectively. The results also showed that the surface soil, was seriously polluted. In general, the mineral oil content in the soiled depth of 40?cm deep is lower than the background value.The drilling mud stimulates the growth of reed and the drilling mud has litter impact on reed quality.
