Efficacy of knee joint multiple ligament injury under arthroscopic reconstruction

2012
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy with arthroscopic monitoring in multiple ligaments injuries by anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstruction and collateral ligament suture treatment of multiple knee ligament injury. Methods The group of 28 patients with traumatic knee dislocation. In accordance with knee dislocation scheck classification criteria:KD-Ⅰ type in 5 cases,KD-Ⅱ type in 11 cases,KD-Ⅲ type in 10 cases,KD-Ⅳ type in 1 case,KD-Ⅴ type in 1 case, both were single knee injury. The left knee in 13 cases,15 cases of right knee. Results According to International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC),there was a improvement from severely abnormal (grade D) in 28 cases before surgery. After operation to normal (grade A) in 18 cases, nearly normal(grade B) in 8 cases and abnormal (grade C) in 2 cases. Conclusions Excellence clinical results and good stability were achieved with arthroscopic reconstruction of ACL and PCL combined with repair of the collateral ligament suture.
