Ultra-wideband 45° phase shifter based on simplified composite right/left-handed transmission line

An ultra-wideband 45° phase shifter based on a simplified composite right/left-handed transmission line is presented. The measured −10 dB return loss bandwidth covers the range of 2.6–7.8 GHz (100%), and the maximum insertion loss within the frequency range is 0.8 dB. The measured phase shift variation is 45°±2.5° within 2.9–8.9 GHz and the maximum 45°±5° bandwidth covers 2.6–9.4 GHz (113.3%).
