A method to predict transient angle stability of power system with wind power integration

In recent years, the object of study on angle stability has converted from traditional alternating current power system consisted of generators to new electronic power system, which is represented by the intergration of new energy in the aspect of power source. Due to different operating principles and characteristics from synchronous generators, the integration of large-scale wind farm consisted of doubly-fed induction generators (DFIG) has an effect on the system angle stability. The method to predict angle stability was proposed considering the integration of wind power. One machine infinite bus (OMIB) model that was suitable for the multi-machine system integrated with wind power was built. The fast transient stability predicting method by fitting could obtain the tendency of the angle curve in advance. The results of simulations demonstrated the accuracy of the prediction.
