Photosensitive properties and sensitization mechanism of macromolecular tertiary amine system

2007
Abstract The photosensitive properties of a novel macromolecular tertiary amine, di( N , N -diacrylolyl)-α, ω -diaminopolyether (ANE) with tertiary amine groups and acryloyl groups in its molecular structure were investigated using FTIR and gel yield method. It was noted that the ANE system showed a notable photosensitive property and its photosensitivity could be up to 1.49 mJ/cm 2 . The behavior of the macromolecular tertiary amine ANE and small molecular tertiary amine triethanol amine (TEOA) in UV-curing reaction was studied by electron spin resonance (ESR). The results showed that ESR spectra of benzophenone (BP)/ANE/MNP and BP/TEOA/MNP systems under UV irradiation for different time were similar and it was deduced that the introduction of tertiary amine groups into the ANE molecule could improve photosensitivity of the ANE system. The macromolecular tertiary amine ANE may find application in photopolymerization to improve the properties of UV-curing coating materials.
