Radiative pion capture in nuclei

Measurements of (..pi../sup -/,..gamma..) radiative capture reactions are reported. Specifically, studies have been performed on (1) a search for bound and unbound states in /sup 3/H(..pi../sup -/,..gamma..)/sup 3/n, (2) investigation of giant magnetic dipole states in the 1p shell nuclei /sup 6/He, /sup 7/He, /sup 9/Li, and /sup 12/B, and (3) isobaric analogs of giant spin isospin states in /sup 16/O and structure of /sup 18/N.
