Approaches to Organization of Emergency Control at Isolated Operation of Energy Areas with Distributed Generation

2018
The faults at isolated operation of energy areas with distributed generation objects (DG) have their own characteristic features which are clearly manifested in the event of emergency energy shortages. Designing of the emergency control intended to normalize the power supply to consumers in such energy areas must be carried out with special studies of electric operation. The results of operation calculations are given for loss of a part of the generation without a short circuit (SC), with SC in the energy area, at which power failure results in significant transient parameters changes. The effect of the load composition and characteristics of various generating units (GU) including RES on the parameters of emergency modes and the severity of their consequences is shown. The effectiveness of the application of additional load shedding (ALS), which is actuated by the fact of the generation of GU tripping commands, was studied. The approaches to the assessment of the reliability of energy areas at the isolated operation with the respect to their resistance to active power deficiencies are proposed taking into account the economic efficiency of different GU usage.
