The relationship between psychological empowerment, turnover intention and job burnout

Objective:To explore the relationship between psychological empowerment,turnover intention and job burnout among 650 nurses and to provide reference for the new measures to relieve nurses' turnover intention and job burnout.Methods:The Psychological Empowerment Scale,Job Burnout Scale and Turnout Intention Scale were used to investigate 650 nurses at 3generaltertiaryhospitalsinTai-an.Results:Thereweresignificantrelationshipsbetweenthenurses' psychologicalempowerment,turnover intention and job burnout(P0.01).It shows that nurse' psychological empowerment plays an intermediary role between the turnover intention and job burnout.Conclusion:We should pay attention to improve the nurses' psychological empowerment,especially the nurses with 6-10 years working experience.
