Horizontal Driver Circuit of Television Receivers

The driver circuit of television receivers is analyzed and formulas for the base drive circuit are derived. A definite phase relationship should be maintained for normal operation of the horizontal deflection circuits. The various time differences should be considered for this proper phase relationship. The primary inductance of the driver transformer should be large and the leakage inductance should be small. The power loss of line output transistors is studied. The value of the base resistor should be suitably selected for small current consumption of the line output stage.
